A nice middle-class micro (originally converted 2012 but has changed ownership since then) which serves as a tap for Fell Brewery. Nicely done planking on the bar and benches. World music, because of course. Landlady was on each newly-vacated table like a hawk with the antibac spray, so it’s clearly a bit of a hypochondriac place. Prominent old skool Pride rainbow flag – whether that was a statement or not, I couldn’t work out. Pretty busy for a damp Monday night. GBG-listed, my Fell Brewery Ghyll was excellent (NBSS4). I also plumped for a keg Fell Brewery Cumbria Dry Stout. A pleasant 30 minutes and well-worth getting off the train for.
